June Juice Playlist
This is the playlist that got me through some of my best 5k + runs by the lake or snack eating in the sun. Enjoy this feel good mix!
The 1975 – Always a good add on to any upbeat playlist.
JAWNY – Honeypie is exactly the vibe you want while riding your bike or taking a walk on a hot summer day.
May Movement Playlist
Flowers are blooming, the sun is coming out (at least for us canadians) and it’s time to get our bodies moving! This is my current rap and hip hop exercise playlist that is constantly being updated.
J. Cole – His music is just generally so motivational but Motiv8 really hits the spot when you need an energy boost
Chance the Rapper – I absolutely cannot go one run without listening to Hot Shower.
April Adventures Playlist
If you are in search of a feel good playlist to get you through yet another quarantine cleaning session, look no further ! You know when people say “an oldie but a goodie” ? That’s this entire playlist. You’re welcome. Honourable mentions:
Rufus, Chaka Khan – I don’t think anything compares to the feeling you get from listening to this song.
Carl Carlton – This is the ultimate sweeping the house song.
March Mix Playlist
Apparently, March is the moment where I get in my feelings. This playlist features some great chill RnB, Hip-Hop and a sprinkle of rap. If you’re finding yourself thinking of your love life and need music to match the mood, this is it. Honourable mentions:
SZA’s entire Ctrl album can be listened to on repeat but these few songs are some of my favourites
The internet, a band you must get into your chill playlists.
February Fever Playlist
Winter in Canada can become quite dark and cold. This playlist kept me warm as I made my favourite golden milk latte and tucked in for the night. Honourable mentions:
Hozier’s smooth vocals with a side of unmatched guitar picking is just what you need in a good indie song.
Maggie Rogers has the most amazing energy in her music. The lyrics are honest and her style is so unique.
January Jams Playlist
A playlist made as I started developing comfort food recipes. Chill beats coming from new and old artists on the Rnb, hip hop and indie scenes. One of my absolute favourites to listen to in the background while I work. Honourable mentions:
Cleo Sol’s smooth vocals mixed with a simple bass line caught my interest from the first listen.
Anderson Paak gives off great old timey jazz vibes while making use of his modern knowledge of music.
