It has taken me a long time to get around to writing this post as I find myself constantly bombarded with information on social media about how we are all “supposed to eat”. This post was important for me to write because it seems we all need a reminder that the information we find online is not always correct and is NEVER one size fits all.
As I was organizing my photo drive due to pure boredom, I started thinking back to my time in Sweden and quickly began to crave cinnamon buns. Why? Because the staple of my Swedish summer was spending Fika with my colleagues, having a kanelbullar (swedish cinnamon roll) and espresso, sitting outside by the water.
Sometimes eating healthy can seem complicated and confusing. Beyond the recommended servings of fruits and veggies, everyone has something to say about what, when and how you should eat. One simple thing that can help you get a better understanding of how to eat in a more balanced way is colour!
